Is there a human link to dark energy?

Its discovery in 1998 from measurements of supernovae came as a huge shock to the astronomical community, and scientists are still scrambling to come up with a satisfactory way to explain it.
On Tuesday, leading scientists gave a status report on dark energy at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, US, at a workshop entitled “Dark energy: a decade of discovery and mystery”.
