The End of the World?

What’s really happening in the world today? The daily headlines are filled with “Alerts” of terrible natural disasters and paranormal experiences such as crop circles and UFO sightings. In the past few weeks alone there have been Volcano eruptions; Earthquakes; Cyclones and Tidal Waves; Tornado’s and flooding! The head lines can’t keep up with the rampant natural disasters around the world:
* China: Quake left 18,000 buried in one city
* Hundreds flee Florida wildfires
* U.N. estimates death toll from Cyclone Nargis between 63,000 and 100,000
* Kilauea Volcano Erupts Explosively And Vents Noxious Gas
* Illinois Earthquake Is A Wake-Up Call
* Volcano erupts in Chile
Now, consider the paranormal headlines:
* Cleveland Crop Circles
* Borromean Rings depicted in crop circle at Alton Barnes Wiltshire
* Avebury Stone Avenue, Avebury, Wiltshire
* Several See 2 Unknown Aerial Objects Zip Away and Disappear
* ULOs - Research of Possible Structures on the Moon
* More crop circles appear in East Tennessee
* Apparent humanoid figure and other artifacts found on Mars
* A re-disclosure from the Vatican that it is “OK” to believe in Extra Terrestrials
Even the most structured around us would have to admit that these are very interesting times! “It’s the end of the world as we know it… it’s the end of the world as we know it… it’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine… I feel fine”³.
To truly understand what is coming, we need to explore our past. I mentioned this before in another article. If you ascribe to the same line of thinking as I do, you’ll recognize that what is happening now has happened before - many, many times over. Our past holds the key to our future and our survival as a modern day species.
The Sumerian tablets, engraved roughly 5500 years ago tell us about Creation; Eden; God(s) and pretty much any other religious myth you can think of. Just because these were engraved around 3500 BCE doesn’t mean that the events happened then. They may have, but they may also have been much earlier.
What if we are visited by another ‘parent’ race that lives on a planet within this Solar System? What if there really is a Nibiru and Anunnaki? What if we really were “created” by Intelligent Design by these advanced humanoids? What if our great Egyptian kings were offspring of these Anunnaki? What if?
We can’t know for sure. However, we do know that everything written of within the tablets is a modern possibility! Now if you consider that we’ve gone through many, many cycles on this planet of re-births (perhaps the Mayan and Hopi worlds?) then we start to see a pattern and we start to understand how this pattern relates to our own world experience. The “end” is subjective in many cases. It’s based on the view point of the observer.
Not to sound heartless but I’m sure the outlook for those who’ve experienced the Tidal Wave or China Earthquake and didn’t live to talk about it felt it was the end of the world. Obviously, if you survive the world continues on. But, what about the prophecies? What about the end-time scenario’s talked about in the Bible and other religious books? Most of us would agree that these times certainly mirror the stories found in these books. If this is true - how could someone as far back as 2000 or more years ago have seen what was to come? It would require a form of time travel to know. Or… would it? Could it have been exactly like this at the end of each cycle? Could the prophecies simply be talking about something that happened in the past rather than intentionally pointing to our future?
What can we make of the Marian apparitions? These apparitions leave messages for humanity:
- A world-wide warning to be experienced by everyone on earth. Its purpose will be to call humanity to amend its behavior and return to God.
- A great miracle that will occur in the late winter or early spring within one year after the warning.
- A permanent “sign” that will remain for all time at Garabandal and other selected locations where Mary has appeared.
- A terrible chastisement during which many will die. Other prophecies indicate that the chastisement will eliminate up to 2/3 of humanity. The chastisement is conditioned upon the response of humanity to the warning and the miracle.
[One of the visionaries,] Conchita has stated, “The Warning, like the Chastisement, is a fearful thing for the good as well as the wicked. It will draw the good closer to God and warn the wicked that the end of times are coming.” In describing the warning, Jacinta has said, “The Warning is something that is seen in the air, everywhere in the world and is immediately transmitted into the interior of our souls. It will last a very little time, but it will seem a very long time because of its effect within us.” Conchita has stated that she has been given the date of the Miracle by the Blessed Virgin and will announce the date eight days before it is to occur. Since the Miracle will occur after the Warning, it is highly likely that both the Warning and Miracle will occur within the next thirty years given Conchita’s present age (45 years) if this apparition is determined to be a valid one.
In describing the Warning, Conchita stated, “it would be like fire. It will not burn our flesh but we will feel it bodily and interiorly.” It seems to be an astronomical phenomena, “like two stars…that crash and make a lot of noise, and a lot of light…but they don’t fall. It’s not going to hurt us but we’re going to see it and, in that moment, we’re going to see our consciences.” In addition to these events, Conchita has stated that she was told by the Blessed Virgin in 1962 that after the death of Pope John XXIII “there would be two more popes after Pope Paul VI and that one of the popes would have a very short reign. After that would come the end times but not the end of the world.” If Conchita has interpreted this vision of Mary correctly, then Pope John Paul II is the last of the popes before the end times begin.
Clearly, the messages at Garabandal, if they are really a message from Heaven, bring the prophecies of the Apocalypse very close to fruition. If Garabandal is to be believed then it is highly likely that the events foretold two thousand years ago and repeated with increasing intensity in the twentieth century will occur within the lifetime of most people reading this text. Indeed, several prophecies point to these events coming to pass within the next five years!
The ten secrets of Medjugorje appear to be a continuation of the Fatima Secrets and are similar in general character to the secrets described at Garabandal.
In 1982, the Church established a commission to begin to evaluate the occurrences at Medjugorje. As part of the initial report, Father Tomislav Vlasic, the local pastor, sent the Pope and the Bishop of Mostar a letter detailing what little information is available about the secrets. In the letter he states:
“According to Mirjana, during the apparition on December 25, 1982, the Madonna confided the tenth and last secret to her, and she revealed the dates on which the various secrets will come to pass. The Blessed Virgin revealed many aspects of the future to Mirjana, many more up to now than to the other seers. For that reason, I relate now what Mirjana told me in a conversation on November 5, 1983 I shall summarize the essential things she said, without any literal quotations:
- Before the visible sign is given to humanity, there will be three warnings to the world. The warnings will be warnings on the earth. Mirjana will witness them. Three days before one of these warnings, she will advise a priest of her choice. Mirjana’s testimony will be a confirmation of the apparitions and an incentive for the conversion of the world. After these warnings, the visible sign will be given for all humanity at the place of the apparitions in Medjugorje. The sign will be given as the testimony of the apparitions and a call back to faith.
- The ninth and tenth secret are grave matters. They are a chastisement for the sins of the world. The punishment is inevitable because we cannot expect the conversion of the entire world. The chastisement can be mitigated by prayers and penance. It cannot be suppressed…
- After the first warning, the others will follow within a rather brief period of time. So it is that people will have time for conversion.
- This time is a period of grace and conversion. After the visible sign, those who are still alive will have little time for conversion. For that reason, the Blessed Virgin calls for urgent conversion and reconciliation.
- The invitation to prayer and penance is destined to ward off evil and war and above all to save souls.
- We are close to the events predicted by the Blessed Virgin.
- Convert yourselves as quickly as possible. Open your hearts to God. This is a message to all mankind.¹
Edgar Cayce’s View
When asked what the New Age means to humanity, Edgar Cayce replied: “the full consciousness of the ability to communicate with the Creative Forces and be aware of the relationships to the Creative Forces and the uses of same in material environs. This awareness during the era or age in the Age of Atlantis and Lemuria or Mu brought what? Destruction to man, and his beginning of the needs of the journey up through that of selfishness.” (1602-3)
Cayce is informing us that in a previous time cycle, humanity had a level of consciousness and relationship with the Creative Forces that allowed us to live at higher levels of material, mental, and spiritual activity in the Earth and beyond. Unfortunately, we misused this consciousness and the power that came with the close relationship to the Forces. This misuse brought on the destruction of our great cultures and a long, karmic soul journey through the pain and confusion that resulted from our selfishness and self-centered focus on our will without regard for the will of the Creator and others. Now, as the cycles come around again, we are nearing a time when the level of consciousness and relationship with the Creative Forces will allow us once again to regain these powers.
Cayce was equally as far ahead of the archeologists and paleontologists. It took nearly another 60 years for the predominance of evidence from around the world to prove Cayce probably correct in his claim that the human species is 10.5 million years old, that the Giza monuments in Egypt were aligned with the stars as of 10,500 BC, that the structure of the Egyptian religion was defined from astronomical relationships, and that an ancient civilization influenced the development of Egypt, Maya, and Bharati.
During Cayce’s otherworldly journeys, Cayce would often reveal the past lives of those who would come to him for information concerning their health. A number of people who came to Cayce were told by him that they had past lives in the legendary lost land of Atlantis. In fact, Cayce revealed that a vast number of souls who lived past lives in Atlantis have been incarnating to America for a long time now to usher in a new era of enlightened human consciousness. In all, Cayce referred to Atlantis no fewer than seven hundred times over a span of twenty years.
Cayce described a long term economic cycle of 24 to 25 years which predicts depressions and major recessions. Starting with a base year of 1907, every 24th or 25th year precisely describes an economic downturn. Based on Cayce’s definition, the next major depression is forecast for the year 2006 or 2007. The cycle does not describe all of the downturns but it definitely describes the worst downturns.
The year the battle of Armageddon will occur in the spirit realm (may be happening already)
Cayce predicted that the so-called “Battle of Armageddon” described symbolically in the Bible would begin in 1999. Cayce foresaw that this “battle” will not be a war fought on earth. Rather, it will be a spiritual struggle between the “higher forces of light” and “lower forces of darkness” for 1000 years of earth time. The reason for this struggle is to prevent souls from lower afterlife realms from reincarnating to earth. By preventing souls from the lower afterlife realms from reincarnating to earth, only enlightened souls will be permitted to reincarnate. The result will be 1000 years of building a world of peace and enlightenment. After 1000 years, souls from lower afterlife realms will be permitted once again to reincarnate to earth. By this time, the so-called “kingdom of heaven” will have been established on earth.²
Whether you believe in apparitions or the abilities of seer’s, one can not dismiss the exacting detail in, which events seem to be unfolding as described. The fact that a specific prophecy doesn’t come true isn’t cause for exclusion of the rest. Even Cayce himself said that we are of free will and by our efforts we can change the outcome. It’s an easy cop out I suppose but it also makes perfect sense. If we change our ways, our prophetic future would change, thus invalidating the prophecy. Many of Cayce’s (the majority) predictions have been right on. But how?
We must not forget that we are spiritual beings. Our souls live on after our physical being. We’re here to become higher vibrational beings - enlightened beings. Our purpose is to find harmony and peace within our sense of being and our collective consciousness. It’s quite possible that time only serves a purpose in the physical realm. For a soul that is essentially immortal (the being that is stuck and experiences limitations in this physical realm), time isn’t a factor. There is no race to the finish line. There is no need to accomplish within 80 years. The physical being actually hinders our spiritual development. We find ourselves in conflict between our spiritual development and our materialistic desires. Often, our materialistic impulses preside over our spiritual essence. Even Cayce himself whom most would believe to be enlightened based on his unique gifts is absent for the 1000 years of building a world of peace and enlightenment. His is one of the souls that does not return until 2100 - by his own admission.
Cayce once had a prophetic dream involving an event in his next incarnation on earth. It gives us an interesting look into the future:
“I had been born again in 2100 A.D. in Nebraska. The sea apparently covered all of the western part of the country, as the city where I lived was on the coast. The family name was a strange one. At an early age as a child I declared myself to be Edgar Cayce who had lived 200 years before. Scientists, men with long beads, little hair, and thick glasses, were called in to observe me. They decided to visit the places where I said I had been born, lived, and worked in Kentucky, Alabama, New York, Michigan, and Virginia.²
It would seem that even Cayce - far advanced in his own path of enlightenment and able to see clearly the purpose of his soul’s experience on this plane of existence, did not graduate to the next higher plane. He still has learning to do and is still growing through his physical experiences. Like us, he is destined to become more than what he is or was. We have the same choices. We choose to return of our own spiritual free will. It is this learning that we yearn for. The way of materialism comes and goes but we can not grow until we collectively begin to see the needs of our neighbors and consider them with as much concern as we do ourselves and our families. In the spiritual realm, our souls are kin. The experiences of the many great civilizations that came before us - many even more technologically advanced than we are today, should serve as a lesson to each of us. We simply need to look to our past to understand what our future will bring. This reality is cyclical.
There is no way to know for sure whether the Marian apparitions are real. If we put aside our need to identify everything from a scientific point of view and accept that there are forces at work that are beyond our ability to understand through science, we may be able to make the leap of faith. Part of what makes all of this so confusing to the lay person are the various religions. The religions have a basis or foundation in truth at their core. We need to get beyond structured religion to realize our true spirituality. Religion has served as a tool but it has also been a barrier to our reunification. Our purpose isn’t to fight over whose god is superior or the true god. Those are materialistic goals built on ego and a desire to control. If we strip away those layers we find the pure spirituality that drives our souls. The desire of oneness with each other and the Universal Consciousness. To think that our Universe isn’t alive is silly.
One of Cayce’s visions really impacted me years ago and it helped me to put many of the pieces (at least for my own journey) together in a way that helped me understand my purpose. Maybe it’s just me but I like the explanations that the sleeping prophet offered for many of the murky explanations offered in the confusing books of the Bible. His simply explanation for the 1000 years of peace, for example. Cayce’s 9 Dimensions of Consciousness serves to explain God and our purpose. It starts as such:
“In the beginning there was a sea of spirit, and it filled all space. It was static, content, aware, a giant contemplating what it was. Then it awakened and discovered its spiritual individuality. This was God. God desired self-expression, and wanted companionship, so the cosmos and souls were projected. Mind was the force which propelled and perpetuated it.
This lends credibility to many who are asking in this day of computer virtual reality whether our own reality is merely a simulation or as Cayce puts it… a ‘projection’. In the end, all we are is “thought”. We are a projection of the Universal Consciousness trying to understand itself. We were created (souls) by this Consciousness to better understand His own purpose. The 3 dimensional environment we exist in is a manifestation and can be influenced by thought. Prayer is a form of concentrated thought. Group prayer provides a greater ability to influence the 3 dimensional environment. Positive thoughts or prayer bring about important changes.
This brings me back to the Marian apparitions. Could these be the Universal Consciousness’ way of helping to steer us in to the path of enlightenment? Utilizing the message to promote positive thoughts and collective prayer for the betterment of man? There are many things at work within our reality that science simply can’t comprehend.
The Bible speaks of being “saved” otherwise you can’t enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We, through our religion establish being “saved” as following the practices and teachings of Jesus. Whether Jesus was a real man/god or not isn’t the point. There have been man/gods with the same history and conditions as the story of Jesus through out the history of this era of civilization. The most famous is Osiris-Dionysus. Here is the story of Osiris-Dionysus:
- Osiris-Dionysus is God made flesh, the savior and ‘Son of God’.
- His father is God and his mother is a mortal virgin.
- He is born in a cave or humble cowshed on 25 December before three shepherds.
- He offers his followers the chance to be born again through the rites to baptism.
- He miraculously turns water into wine at a marriage ceremony.
- He rides triumphantly into town on a donkey while people wave palm leaves to honor him.
- He dies at Easter time as a sacrifice for the sins of the world.
- After his death he descends to hell, then on the third day he rises from the dead and ascends to heaven in glory.
- His followers await his return as the judge during the Last Days.
- His death and resurrection are celebrated by a ritual meal of bread and wine which symbolize his body and blood.
Now, putting all of this aside, we can return to the Sumerian Cuneiform and review the various stories. Interestingly, we see that the Anunnaki (gods) mated with their creation; human females, creating the Nephilim. We also read that the Anunnaki (gods) created man and woman through the clay of the earth and gene manipulation and brought them to birth through In vitro fertilization. Any of this starting to sound familiar?
There has to be a reason that it is only through a more modern understanding and through science that we are able to validate the myths of our ancestors. They believed these things through faith as miracles. We are able to validate their beliefs through science. What might have seemed like a miracle 2000 or more years ago is common practice today. It’s not a miracle to us because we understand the science behind it.
I return to the point I made earlier. Religion serves a purpose to a point. Once science catches up, it then takes hold but it too only serves a purpose to a point. Oddly, it is the science that brings us back to faith!
So, is this the end of the world as we know it? It may just be. That may not be a bad thing! It’s certainly not the end - merely the end “as we know it”. The 2012 equation offers an end of a cycle for the Maya and Hopi aboriginals. It offers us time to reflect and choose our path. It offers us an opportunity for enlightenment and growth as a spiritual being and a physical being. We’re so wrapped up in the numbers that we often fail to look at the consciousness associated with these events. Look beyond the physical. Move beyond the religious brainwashing and cultism and focus on the self - the soul. Once you understand the purpose, death has no meaning and fear becomes useless. It simply brings us back to the reality of faith and well-being for all.

In the coming 2012… The shape of the world will not be the same again. The world is going to end in 2012 does not mean end of the world in 2012! Why? Only the human values will change… after initial collapse of the materialistic world… after death of 1200 million people in the coming world war 3… If we still say the world would come to an end then so be it.
